☀️ Solar Activity & Two Distinct Effects
The sun's charged particles interact with Earth's magnetic field, creating fluctuations measured by the Kp index (0–9). Research suggests these fluctuations affect human consciousness differently depending on what you're doing.
High Kp → stronger intention effects on matter. Studies on intention's influence on biological systems found higher geomagnetic activity correlated with measurably stronger outcomes. Lynne McTaggart: "People attempting to achieve mind over matter do better with a noisy sun."
Low Kp → clearer intuitive reception. Quiet geomagnetic conditions reduce "noise" in the mind-body system, enhancing ESP, psi sensitivity, and intuitive clarity.

🌙 Lunar Phase & Manifestation
Dean Radin, Ph.D. (Institute of Noetic Sciences) analyzed gambling and lottery data and found wins peaked during full moons and geomagnetic calm — suggesting the full moon correlates with increased likelihood of intended outcomes materializing.
Lynne McTaggart's research identifies the new-to-full moon window as highest for active intention-sending power: "Intention power is at its highest between full and new moons."

✦ Three Signals, Three Scores
Intention Sending — peaks with high Kp + new-to-full moon. Best for focused intention practice and affirmations.
Intuition Index — peaks with low Kp (calm sun). Best for receiving guidance, clarifying intentions, and intuitive alignment.
Result Likelihood — peaks with full moon + geomagnetic calm (Radin). Watch for synchronicities and movement on intentions you've sent.
Scores are interpretive, not predictive. Source data: NOAA SWPC (real-time Kp) + astronomical moon phase calculation.
📍 Your Location & Local Accuracy
The Kp index shown by default is the NOAA Planetary Kp — a global average measured across 13 stations worldwide. It gives a solid general picture of solar activity, but geomagnetic conditions vary significantly depending on where you are.
Latitude is the biggest factor: people at higher latitudes (Scotland, Canada, Scandinavia, Alaska) experience geomagnetic disturbances more intensely than those near the equator. A Kp of 5 can feel like a Kp 7 in Norway and a Kp 3 in Brazil.
When you enter your location, we geocode it to get your latitude and apply a correction factor to give you a more accurate local estimate. Your location is stored only in your browser — it is never sent to our servers.
The local estimate is an approximation based on latitude only. It does not account for local geology, magnetic anomalies, or real-time data from a nearby magnetometer station. For scientific-grade local readings, consult your regional geomagnetic observatory (BGS for the UK, Natural Resources Canada, or the INTERMAGNET network). Scores on this app are interpretive and intended for personal practice — not scientific measurement.
